🐝 Spring in Franklin

Super Bowl 2030, Easter, & More

Your guide to staying connected in Franklin, TN

Happy Thursday Franklin.

How about this beautiful weather lately? Spring in Williamson County is something else.

And if the weather wasn't enough to get you fired up, the sports calendar certainly should be. Major League Baseball is officially back in full swing, with games being played across the league every night. The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament is down to its Final Four — UConn, Illinois, Michigan, and Arizona are all heading to Indianapolis this weekend for what should be an incredible set of semifinal matchups. And for golf fans, the Masters is right around the corner at Augusta National next week, one of the greatest traditions in all of sports.

To top it all off, Easter weekend is here. Whether you're gathering with family, attending services, or just enjoying the long weekend, I hope it's a blessed and restful weekend for you.

Best Cities in the South Ranking
Franklin keeps collecting accolades, and the latest comes from Southern Living's annual Best Cities in the South rankings. Franklin landed at No. 12 on the 2026 list, climbing from No. 14 the year before, with the rankings driven by votes from more than 17,000 readers who weighed in on dining, shopping, and overall experience.

The progression tells the bigger story: Franklin spent years on Southern Living's "Cities on the Rise" list before graduating to the main rankings, reflecting a broader shift in how the city is perceived nationally. Franklin is no longer seen as just a day trip from Nashville, but as a destination with its own identity. It's a recognition that anyone who lives here, or has spent an afternoon on Main Street, could have told you was coming.

As for who took the top spot on the list, Charleston, South Carolina claimed No. 1 for the 10th consecutive year, which, honestly, someone needs to look into. Ten straight years? We're not saying anything, we're just saying that at some point the FBI, the FTC, or at minimum a very serious journalist should get involved.

New Wellness Center
A new wellness concept is coming to South Franklin this summer… Heights Wellness Retreat is set to open in July 2026 inside Berry Farms Town Center, occupying a 2,575 square foot storefront in the 600-acre mixed-use community off I-65.

The brand, formerly known as Massage Heights, has built on more than two decades of experience in therapeutic massage and skincare and has evolved into what it describes as a longevity-focused wellness platform. What began as a single location in San Antonio has grown to over 100 locations nationwide. The rebrand from Massage Heights to Heights Wellness Retreat happened in October 2024 and reflected a significant expansion of services beyond traditional massage.

The Franklin location will offer restorative massage therapy, advanced skincare, cryotherapy, red light therapy, lymphatic drainage, infrared sauna, and more, all under a membership-based model designed to make wellness a consistent part of daily life rather than an occasional treat. Members work with wellness consultants to build personalized plans that evolve over time, with the idea that longevity is built through regular routines, not single visits.

Berry Farms is a natural fit for a concept like this. The district already houses Club Pilates, F45 Training, Free Flow Yoga, and Drybar, making Heights a complementary addition to what is becoming one of the more wellness-forward retail corridors in Williamson County. For residents and clients already living and working in that part of Franklin, this one is worth bookmarking.

Nashville Super Bowl in 2030?
Nashville has never hosted a Super Bowl, but that could change by 2030. At the NFL league meetings on March 30, Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk and CEO Burke Nihill made a large group presentation on the new stadium and Nashville's East Bank transformation, the same day the NFL officially awarded Super Bowl 63 to Las Vegas for 2029. With that settled, NFL EVP of events Peter O'Reilly said the league will "move on that process pretty quickly" for 2030, noting that the new stadium's timeline "falls within the window that could be viable."

The new Nissan Stadium is a $2.1 billion facility built with the largest public funding commitment for an NFL stadium in American history, featuring a translucent cable-stayed roof. It's set to open in 2027. The strongest signal yet came from Commissioner Roger Goodell himself, who said at the stadium's final steel beam ceremony that Nashville proved it was a "Super Bowl ready" city during the 2019 NFL Draft and now just needed the stage. "I have every expectation," Goodell said, "that you're going to see that type of thing in the future."

Titans, you are officially on the clock. You have 5 years to put together a team capable of making it to the Super Bowl. Can you imagine? The Tennessee Titans vs. Dallas Cowboys in Nashville in 2030. This city would lose it’s mind. Although, as a Cowboys fan, I’ve been penciling my team into the Super Bowl for about 30 years and keep getting disappointed. You never know!
