Your guide to staying connected in Franklin, TN
Good morning Franklin.
Tomorrow isn’t just another Friday in Williamson County… it’s the unofficial start of spring break for families across Franklin and the rest of the county. It’s the first real signal that winter is winding down and the rhythm of spring in Franklin is starting to pick up.
We also hit another seasonal milestone this weekend with Daylight Saving Time beginning early Sunday morning. Clocks spring forward an hour, which means we lose a little sleep but get longer evenings and some extra daylight. I am ready for later sunsets.
Whether you’re traveling for the break or enjoying a quieter week around Franklin, I hope the extra daylight and a little time to slow down makes this coming week a great one.

The Franklin Butchery Opens in Downtown Franklin
Another new addition to downtown Franklin that food lovers will appreciate is The Franklin Butchery, which opens TODAY at 129 2nd Avenue North, just across the street from The Harpeth Hotel.
The shop is a family-owned, chef-led butcher concept focused on high-quality ingredients and traditional butchery techniques. Customers can expect hand-cut meats, dry-aged steaks, and fresh seafood shipped directly from Maine, all trimmed and prepared in-house.
Beyond the butcher counter, the concept also includes gourmet sandwiches and chef-driven meals to go, giving downtown visitors another great option for lunch or for picking up something special to cook at home.
With its focus on sustainable sourcing, whole-animal butchery, and knowledgeable service, The Franklin Butchery aims to bring a classic neighborhood butcher shop experience back to downtown Franklin.
Whether you’re planning a weekend cookout or just want a great sandwich while walking around downtown, this is one more spot worth checking out on your next trip to Main Street.
In-N-Out Burger Opens in Franklin
If you noticed the traffic near McEwen or Berry Farms last week… you probably already know why. The long-anticipated arrival of In-N-Out Burger finally happened as the iconic West Coast chain opened its newest Middle Tennessee restaurant in Franklin last Wednesday at 1951 Double Double Drive, just off I-65.
The excitement started well before the doors opened. Some fans reportedly lined up more than 20 hours ahead of the grand opening to be among the first to grab a Double-Double and Animal Style fries. Early crowds stretched through the drive-thru and nearby streets as locals and longtime fans came out to see what the buzz was about.
The Franklin restaurant includes indoor seating for about 74 guests, a covered patio with seating for 54, and a single drive-thru lane, with hours running 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily (and until 1:30 a.m. on weekends).
Franklin’s location is the fourth In-N-Out in Middle Tennessee, joining restaurants in Antioch, Lebanon, and Murfreesboro as the California-based chain continues expanding across the region.
The opening is also part of a bigger story for our area. In-N-Out is currently building its Eastern Territory headquarters and distribution center in Franklin, a project representing more than $125 million in investment that will support the company’s expansion throughout the Southeast.
If the early lines are any indication, Franklin residents seem more than ready to welcome the legendary burger chain. Just be prepared to wait a few minutes!
Pelato Opens in Cool Springs
Another restaurant getting a lot of local buzz lately is Pelato, which opened earlier this week near CoolSprings Galleria, taking over the former Party Fowl space.
Pelato is the creation of the Scotto family, a restaurant family with deep Brooklyn roots. Their concept centers around what they call “Brooklyn Italian” cuisine — classic Italian dishes inspired by the food they grew up with in New York.
The Franklin location is a large addition to the Cool Springs dining scene, featuring about 9,000 square feet of space and a sizable covered patio. The menu highlights house-made pastas, shareable plates, and familiar favorites like chicken parmigiana and the popular Radiatori Vodka pasta, along with classic desserts like tiramisu and cannoli.
With Franklin continuing to see a steady wave of new restaurants, Pelato adds another lively option for a night out, especially if you’re in the mood for a little Brooklyn-style Italian close to home.
