Main Street Festival Returns This Weekend
One of Franklin's most beloved traditions is back, and it's shaping up to be a great one. The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County presents the 42nd Annual Main Street Festival in historic downtown Franklin on Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26, from 10am to 6pm each day. The event attracts more than 120,000 guests annually to celebrate the arts and culture of Williamson County.

More than 150 artisans and craftspeople will showcase their work, giving festival goers access to shop unique local, regional, national, and international crafts, products, and gifts. They'll be joined by 30+ food and beverage vendors, live music on two stages, a KidsZone, interactive arts, and more.

Admission is free and open to all ages, making it one of the best free weekends of the year right in our backyard. Plan ahead, parking fills up fast, but shuttles run from Harlinsdale Farm and Franklin High School for just $1 each way.

Franklin Named All-America City Finalist
Franklin is earning national recognition again. The city, in a joint application with Franklin Tomorrow, has been named one of 20 finalists for the 2026 All-America City Award, a national recognition honoring communities that demonstrate exceptional civic engagement, collaboration, innovation, and measurable impact.

Franklin previously won the award in 2020 and is one of only eight Tennessee municipalities to have received it since the award's inception in 1949. This year's theme, "America at 250: Strengthening Civic Health and Building Trust," feels especially fitting for a city that continues to grow while working hard to preserve what makes it special.

A delegation from the city and Franklin Tomorrow will travel to Denver on June 26-28, where all finalist communities will present their work and share their stories for the title of 2026 All-America City. Fingers crossed for Franklin.

BNA Is Getting a Major Lounge Upgrade
Nashville's airport is leveling up for travelers in a big way. American Airlines revealed plans for a new Admirals Club at BNA that will be nearly three times the size of its current lounge, approximately 17,400 square feet, located in the new Concourse A. The space will feature outdoor terraces overlooking the airfield and a design inspired by Nashville's cultural identity and Tennessee's natural landscapes.

But that's not all. Southwest Airlines, which accounts for roughly 54% of BNA's traffic, is also moving ahead with plans for a $53 million lounge in the terminal's central mezzanine, a notable shift for an airline that has long steered clear of traditional airport clubs.

Both moves reflect just how much BNA has grown. The airport handled more than 24.8 million passengers last fiscal year, and with the $3 billion New Horizon expansion underway, the experience inside the terminal is starting to match the volume outside it.

Starbucks Is Coming to Nashville
Nashville just landed one of its biggest corporate wins in recent memory. Coffee giant Starbucks selected downtown Nashville as the location for its new Southeast corporate office, investing $100 million to expand its North American presence.

The company plans to bring up to 2,000 jobs to the city over the next five years, spanning supply chain, technology, and broader support functions, with some teams relocating from Seattle. CEO Brian Niccol pointed to Nashville's deep talent pool and proximity to a growing number of Southeastern coffeehouses and suppliers as key factors in the decision.

A temporary office will open in the Gulch in May, with a permanent move into the Peabody Union complex on the banks of the Cumberland River planned for 2027. It's the latest signal that Nashville isn't just attracting tourism. It's becoming a serious corporate destination for major national brands.
