🍔 Made From the Land Opens this Weekend
Franklin is getting a brand-new clean-food option — and it comes in the form of a shiny silver Airstream. Made From the Land officially opens this Saturday at 406 Church Street, bringing an organic, ingredient-forward take on classic American comfort food.
The concept focuses on simple, honest ingredients with zero seed oils and everything made in-house. Expect:
100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef burgers
Tallow-fried, golden-brown fries
Pasture-raised chicken
Homemade sauces and organic sourdough buns
Organic A2 milkshakes (sweetened with honey or maple syrup)
And yes… tallow-fried donuts 🤯
The Airstream will serve a limited amount each day, and once they sell out, they’re done — so early visits are encouraged. Pre-orders open a few days before launch.
Clean food, simple ingredients, and the kind of nostalgic comfort dishes everyone loves — all right in the heart of Downtown Franklin.
As many of you know, highly processed foods are terrible for our bodies. Real ingredients can help lower inflammation, improve energy, and actually let your body do what it’s designed to do. Your cells will thank you.
🎄 FrankTown Festival of Lights Returns to Franklin
Get ready for holiday magic: The FrankTown Festival of Lights opens nightly from November 21 through December 31, 2025, at the Williamson County Agricultural Center (4215 Long Lane, Franklin) -- running each evening from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm
What to expect:
A 1.5-mile drive-through light show featuring more than 200 synchronized displays choreographed to holiday music on your car radio.
Family-friendly extras like warm cocoa, s’mores around fire pits, a massive illuminated Christmas tree photo spot, and free photos with Santa on select evenings.
Walkin’ Wednesdays: On select evenings (e.g., Nov 26, Dec 3, 10 & 17), you can park and stroll the lighted route 5:00–6:30 p.m. before cars enter. Dogs on leashes are welcome.
Tickets are valid any night during the run, rain or shine — making it easy to plan your visit.
All proceeds benefit the nonprofit FrankTown Open Hearts, which supports at-risk youth in the community.
This is perfect for families, couples, or a joyful outing with friends, this event blends local charm, festive lights, and community support — right here in Williamson County.
📵 Williamson County School Board updates Cell Phone Policy
Williamson County Schools has approved one of the strictest cell phone policies in Middle Tennessee in a 10–2 vote, taking effect August 1, 2026.
The New Rules
Elementary & Middle Schools: Phones must be put away all day — no access from first bell to last.
High Schools: Phones allowed only during lunch.
Why the Change?
Supporters say the policy will reduce distraction, improve focus, and prevent chaos during emergencies. Dr. Nidhi Gupta, a WCS parent and digital wellness expert, called it “a gift of attention, calm, and connection.”
Concerns Raised
Some high school students argued it limits communication, especially for carpool updates or contacting family during the day.
What’s Still TBD
The district is determining how phones will be stored — options like pouches, lockers, or classroom lock boxes are being discussed.
