Happy Wednesday Franklin.

Does anyone else feel like we’ve been living in the rain forest the last few months? We've just come through one of the wettest stretches in our city's history. In fact, we've racked up half of our average yearly rainfall... in just two months. But hang up the raincoat, because brighter days are finally ahead.

The official start of summer is this Friday (hello, summer solstice), and the weather seems to have gotten the memo — sunny skies and mid-90s temps are on the horizon. It's officially “crank the AC, fire up the grill, and pretend we enjoy sweating” season.

Tecovas Grand Opening
As we previously shared, Tecovas is opening in Downtown Franklin this summer at 306 Public Square in the Old Bank Building. They just announced that they will be hosting a Grand Opening Party next weekend, Friday, June 27 through Sunday, June 29. There will be live music with Daniel Bowden from 10am to 1pm on Friday, Scott Ivey from 10-1 on Saturday, and Daniel back for an encore on Sunday from 12-3.

Grab a complimentary coffee from ONYX + ALABASTER from 10-2 on Friday and Saturday, and 12-4 on Sunday. They will also have complimentary adult beverages if that’s more your style. Come check out Tecovas handcrafted boots — or just enjoy the vibe. Plus, they’ll be handing out free swag for the first 50 folks through the door, Friday through Sunday.

Founded in Austin, Texas, in 2015, Tecovas has become a leader in Western wear. Known for its dedication to quality and hospitality, the retailer now boasts more than 40 storefronts across the country. Tecovas founder Paul Hedrick has been a frequent visitor to the Nashville area since launching the brand in 2015, and he and the Tecovas team have been searching for years for the perfect location in Franklin to bring the signature Tecovas retail experience to our historic town.

The Margin District
NAI Nashville Stanton Group has started construction on a $165 million mixed-use development called The Margin District in downtown Franklin. This project will feature luxury residences, retail spaces, and office areas. The development, located at the corner of Margin Street and Columbia Avenue, is designed to blend with the existing architecture of the area while offering a walkable, architecturally blended destination.

Additional details:

Mixed-Use Development: The Margin District is a multi-faceted project that combines residential, retail, and office spaces.
Luxury Residences: The project includes 25 luxury homes, ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 square feet, with prices starting at just over $2 million
Retail and Office Space: There will be 50,000 square feet of retail space and 50,000 square feet of office space.
Location: The development is situated in downtown Franklin, near the intersection of Margin Street and Columbia Avenue.
Architectural Design: The design aims to harmonize with the historic character of Franklin, using materials like brick, classic millwork, and antiqued brass.
Project Timeline: Construction is underway, with completion expected in 2027.
Leasing: Pre-leasing is underway for retail, restaurant, and office spaces.
