šŸ‚ Fall in Franklin

New Golf Community, Life Update & More

Your guide to staying connected in Franklin, TN

Good morning Franklin.

We made it — fall has officially arrived! Monday marked the autumnal equinox, the point in the year when day and night are nearly equal in length and the season tips toward cooler weather, cozy evenings, and all things pumpkin-flavored. From here on out, the days get a little shorter, the air a little crisper, and Franklin starts showing off with golden leaves and picture-perfect sunsets.

Fall brings us football games, fall festivals, and the simple joy of that first cool morning walk. Whether you’re a fan of bonfires, apple cider, or just soaking up the beauty of Middle Tennessee this time of year, fall always has a way of making our community feel a little extra magical.

New Private Golf Community
Firefly, a new 700-acre private golf and residential community in Spring Hill, has taken Middle Tennessee by storm, selling more than 80 homesites in just 45 days during its initial launch. Developed by Storied Development and Wheelock Street Capital, Firefly blends luxury living with world-class amenities, all just 15 minutes south of Franklin.

At the heart of the community is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by acclaimed architect Andrew Green, known for restoring East Lake, Oak Hill, and Scioto. Firefly marks his first original course design, set to open in Summer 2026, with supporting amenities like the Golf Shop, Fieldhouse dining, and Outpost facilities following soon after. A nine-hole short course, racquet club, pools, bowling alley, and fitness center will round out the lifestyle offering.

Homesites currently range from $575,000 to over $1.6 million, with about 400 homes planned once the community is complete. Construction on residences will begin in 2027. With its mix of golf, family-friendly amenities, and serene Tennessee countryside, Firefly is shaping up to be one of the region’s most exclusive new communities. Learn more here.

Pilgrimage This Weekend
We are 3 days away from Pilgrimage — the two-day outdoor celebration of music, food, arts, and culture held annually in Franklin. Over the years it has gained a reputation not just for its strong lineups of well-known and emerging artists, but also for weaving in local culture: crafts, food, artisan vendors, family-friendly activities, and more. With a mix of genres like rock, Americana, indie, bluegrass, jazz, gospel, etc., the festival gives attendees both familiar favorites and the chance to discover new music. It’s held at the scenic Park at Harlinsdale Farm, providing a natural, relaxed setting not far from downtown Franklin.

When performances wrap and the lights come back on at 10pm each night, guests can walk back into the heart of downtown Franklin, within walking distance from the Park at Harlinsdale, to imbibe the best of the town’s bars and restaurants, retail shops, and great weekend lineups of nighttime shows and events.

After 15 years in Corporate America, I’m making a big life change…

I am excited to announce that I am joining my wife Ashley in real estate and we have started Burns & Co Real Estate.

Ashley has been licensed for more than 10 years and is one of the top agents in Middle Tennessee. I’ve been behind the scenes cheering her on, while working my own career in medical sales for the last decade. Earlier this year, I got my real estate license and recently, I’ve been splitting time between my healthcare sales job and real estate. I am now making the full-time jump into helping families find home here in Williamson County.

I started The Franklin Buzz last year because I genuinely love this community. I like keeping people connected, spotlighting the places and people that make Franklin special, and serving others in the process. That same heart is what will drive our real estate business.

We know you have plenty of choices when it comes to selecting a real estate agent but we’d love the chance to earn your business when the time is right. Whether you’re just curious about the market or ready to make a move, we’re here to be a resource. You can always reply to this email to get in touch.
