Your guide to staying connected in Franklin, TN

Good afternoon Franklin. We made it to June. Can you believe we’re almost halfway done with the year? Wild.

As we get into the summer season, there is a lot going on in Franklin and in Nashville. You have no excuse to be bored.

And if you are, then maybe you can join the group who is looking for the pet zebra that has been missing for five days. Search crews have been using a thermal drone and K9s in attempts to locate the animal. A few days ago, the zebra was seen running on the side of I-24 causing a temporary closure of the highway.

The Zebra’s name is Ed so if you get close, you can shout out ā€œEd!ā€ to see if he’ll come to you. I could include a photo so you don’t confuse it for another zebra in the Nashville area but any horse looking creature with black and white stripes should do it. Although I suppose he might have a disguise on by now.

While Zebras may not seem dangerous, Jim Bartoo, spokesman for the Nashville Zoo encouraged people to ā€œstay clear of that animalā€ as ā€œtheir kick can crush a lion’s skull.ā€

Let’s hope Ed gets home safely.
