Pumpkin Patch, Dinner in the Barn, & More

Your guide to staying connected in Franklin, TN
Good morning Franklin and happy Wednesday.
According to a new Realtor.com study, Oct. 12ā18 is officially the best week of the year to buy a home, offering the best combination of inventory, pricing, and competition.

Listings are up nearly 22%, prices are about 5% lower than summer peaks, and thereās less competition as families settle into fall. Itās that sweet spot between the summer frenzy and the winter slowdown.
If youāve been considering a move, this week could be your moment. And if you werenāt planning to buy a home⦠well, youāve got about three days left to change your mind and make an impulse purchase before the ābest week of the yearā officially ends. Come on, itās only one of the most important financial decisions of your life. š

FrankTown Open Hearts Breaks Ground on New Facility
FrankTown Open Hearts ā the Franklin nonprofit serving at-risk youth ā is breaking ground on a brand-new 16,000-square-foot facility that will finally bring all of its programs under one roof.
The groundbreaking ceremony is set for Thursday, Oct. 16 at 2 p.m. at the corner of Granbury Street and Academy Street, just behind the Williamson County Public Library. The event is open to the public and will feature remarks from Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson and FrankTown Executive Director Chris Barnhill.
The new space will include a Multipurpose Hall, Culinary Arts Kitchen, Computer Science Lab, Dance/Performing Arts Studio, Automotive Bay, and classrooms to expand vocational and academic programs. So far, $7 million of the $9.25 million goal has been raised, with support from Williamson County helping secure the land.
Founded in 2005, FrankTown meets six days a week during the school year ā offering transportation, hot meals, tutoring, mentoring, and hands-on skill training. Last year alone, the organization served over 16,000 meals to local youth and families.
